Free IJYA USA Event
The IJYA and the Sennin Foundation Center for Japanese Cultural Arts will present a FREE introduction to the principles of mind and body unification that serves as the basis for Japanese yoga. The teachers will be H. E. Davey Sensei and Kevin Heard Sensei. Both individuals hold the highest level of teaching certification from the IJYA HQ in Kyoto, with Davey Sensei acting as IJYA Vice President. Here's all you need to know to participate: When: Thursday, June 11, 2015 Where: Sennin Foundation Center for Japanese Cultural Arts 1053 San Pablo Avenue Albany, California 94706 USA 7:00 to 8:00 PM Who: The event is open to the public and IJYA members. Davey Sensei and Heard Sensei will give participants a chance to quickly experience the remarkable power of mind and body unification. Both teachers have received advanced Kyoju certification from the IJYA. Kyoju is similar to being a professor of Japanese yoga. What: English language instruction will be offered in the basic principles of Shin-shin-toitsu-do (a.k.a. Shin-shin-toitsu-ho). This will be your opportunity to study the relationship between the mind and body. How the mind controls the body, and the body reflects the mind will be fully detailed, along with practical exercises allowing you to directly experience mind and body unification. Through mind and body unification, we can unearth our hidden abilities and full human potential. It is the cornerstone of Nakamura Tempu Sensei's Japanese yoga. How much: Free! There are a limited number of places for participants, and we reserve the right to close registration when we reach a maximum number of students. It will not be possible to register the day of the event.
